RK 140 Aluminum Adhesive Tape – Overview
RK 140 Aluminum Adhesive Tape is a single-sided adhesive metal tape made from aluminum foil with acrylic adhesive and a protective external PE liner. With a width of 1360 mm and a roll length of 50 m, it is ideal for permanent sealing, cladding and heat-exposed bonds in industry and metal construction. Surface Sealing and Thermal Expansion
The aluminum foil provides an excellent barrier against moisture and air as well as good thermal conductivity. The flame retardancy and insulating behavior support secure bonds even in exposed areas.
Assembly in Metal and Fire Protection Applications
The combination of acrylic adhesive and aluminum backing produces a load-bearing bond on metal surfaces that withstands temperature fluctuations from -20 °C to +130 °C. The tape can be applied cleanly and secures joints reliably.

Construction and Material Quality
The construction of aluminum foil with an acrylic adhesive provides stable adhesion to metal surfaces at high temperatures. The external PE liner protects the tape during storage and assembly, reduces sticking in the wrong places and makes removal after assembly easier.
Application and Practice
- Prepare the surface so that it is clean, dry and grease-free
- Unroll the tape along the contour and apply without stretching
- Remove the liner layer and press the adhesive surface down evenly
- Inspect the joint and reseal if necessary
