Krückemeyer RK 530 crepe masking tape at a glance

The RK 530 crepe masking tape is a single-sided adhesive masking tape made of stabilised crepe with rubber adhesive. At 30 mm wide and 50 m long, it is ideal for temporary covering, marking and masking contours during painting or assembly work. The core of 76 mm ensures reliable guidance in dispensing systems. Its thickness is 0.13 mm, providing a good balance of adhesion and tear strength.

Thanks to its temperature-resistant backing, the tape can be used in typical industrial environments: from −30 °C to +80 °C in continuous use, as well as brief peaks up to 100 °C for 30 minutes. This keeps the covering securely in place as temperatures change, without bonding prematurely or coming loose.

Uses of RK 530 crepe masking tape

Covering and masking

Ideal for temporarily covering edges, contours and surfaces before painting. The stabilised crepe backing provides good tear strength, while the rubber adhesive ensures secure adhesion.

Marking contours

The matte crepe surface enables clean lines when masking and tracing contours, makes alignment easier and saves rework.

Tape construction

Backing material

The crepe backing consists of stabilised crepe, whose structure allows it to conform gently to surfaces while still being tearable without overstressing the adhesive.

Adhesive

A rubber adhesive is used; it provides reliable adhesion to many substrates and can be removed with virtually no residue.

Application & practice

  1. Check the required tape length and align it with the area to be protected.
  2. Unroll the tape, press the edges down firmly and smooth it carefully.
  3. After completion, unwind it cleanly and avoid leaving exposed adhesive areas.
