RK 581 crepe masking tape at a glance
The RK 581 crepe masking tape from Krückemeyer is a single-sided adhesive masking tape with a stabilised crepe backing. It is 38 mm wide and 50 m long, with a thickness of 0.175 mm and a core of 76 mm. Its colour is Chamois.
The crepe backing conforms well to contours and places little strain on them. The rubber adhesive provides reliable adhesion during masking and covering, including under moderate temperature effects. The tape's temperature range is -30 °C to +140 °C, offering flexibility in typical manufacturing and painting environments.
This tape is particularly suitable as a masking tape and crepe tape for temporarily defining areas on a wide variety of substrates. Use it where contours need to stay clean without damaging the underlying material.
Masking and covering applications with RK 581 crepe masking tape
Masking contours
The stabilised crepe backing conforms to fine contours without leaving rough edges. The rubber adhesive provides rapid adhesion, keeping contours securely in place even on profiles or curves.
Covering large areas
When covering larger areas, the tape provides a clear boundary and tears off smoothly. Its Chamois colour is discreet on light-coloured substrates and makes visual inspection easier during work.
