The RK 615 polyester film is a single-sided masking tape with a green polyester backing and silicone rubber adhesive. The film protects exposed areas during painting or powder coating and enables clear masking of long surfaces.

At 1,280 mm wide and 66 m long, it offers efficient masking. It is 0.09 mm thick, and the core measures 76 mm, ensuring good compatibility with standard dispensing systems. The GREEN colour provides good visibility and edge definition.

Suitable for powder coating and painting

Powder coating

Thanks to the durable polyester backing and resilient adhesive, the masking remains reliable even under the higher temperatures of the coating process. Temperature range: -30 °C to +160 °C for 1 hour, briefly up to +180 °C.

Painting

For conventional painting processes, the green film clearly separates the areas without paint seepage or adhesive residue. The robust film also enables clean edges on larger masked areas.

Backing and adhesive system

The polyester film forms the stable backing. The silicone rubber adhesive provides good adhesion to smooth surfaces and can be removed reliably without damaging the coating.

Application instructions

• Clean the surface thoroughly before applying the film.
• Cut or tear the tape along the intended masking line for an accurate fit.
• Remove the tape promptly after coating to avoid adhesive residue.
