Overview of the RK 675 self-adhesive edge protection profile
RK 675 is an edge protection profile with a self-adhesive back. It uses PE foam as the backing material and has an acrylic adhesive. At 70 mm wide and 10 m long, it provides a robust solution for applications along edges. Its thickness is 5 mm, and the roll core has a diameter of 76 mm. The red version improves visibility and identification.
The combination of soft PE foam and strongly adhering adhesive creates a protective, cushioning edge that conforms well to irregular contours. The self-adhesive design allows quick installation without additional fasteners – suited to workpieces, packaging edges or furniture components.
Suitable for protecting edges
This profile protects the edges of various materials from impacts, scratches and wear. The acrylic adhesive provides a stable bond to typical surfaces such as wood, plastic and metal, while the PE foam acts as a shock absorber.

Self-adhesive with acrylic adhesive
The acrylic adhesive provides good adhesion to many surfaces and forms a lasting bond, even under changing loads. This keeps the edge protection reliably attached after repeated loading.
Construction and material combination
Construction: PE foam as the backing material provides a soft contact surface that reduces pressure, while the acrylic adhesive provides strong, long-lasting adhesion. This combination balances shock absorption and durability.
Application & practical use
- Check the dimensions of the edge protection profile and cut it to size if necessary.
- Peel the protective film from the adhesive.
- Prepare the edge so it is clean, dry and free of grease.
- Place the profile against the edge and press it down evenly.
- Trim any overhanging edges if necessary.
