RK 990 PIB self-amalgamating tape is a single-sided film adhesive tape that forms a tight bond through self-amalgamation without additional adhesive. At 19 mm wide and 10 m long, it conforms flexibly to contours and forms a robust seal. The film is applied to a polyisobutylene backing, combining flexibility with sealing performance.

The core of 76 mm allows smooth use in common unwinders, while the thickness of 0.5 mm provides a good balance between sealing and ease of application. Its black colour keeps it unobtrusive in many applications. The tape's performance is supported by its sealing and waterproof properties. Its temperature resistance extends from −40 °C to +90 °C, allowing the tape to perform in modern industrial environments.
